The FocuSens NTC Thermistor is designed for precise temperature measurement and control applications. Utilizing negative temperature coefficient (NTC) technology, this thermistor exhibits a decrease in resistance as temperature increases, allowing for accurate temperature readings across a wide range.

Note: Refer to datasheet in the ATTACHMENTS section for more info. regd. the product.
Specifications:
  1. Rated Resistance (R25): 10 kΩ at +25°C ± 0.05°C
  2. B Value (B25/85): 3977 K ± 1%
  3. Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +125°C
  4. Time Constant (τ): ≤ 16 sec in still air
  5. Dissipation Factor: > 2.1 mW/°C in still air
  6. Voltage Withstanding: AC 750V (Peak value)
  7. Insulation Resistance: 2100 MΩ at DC 500V
  8. Max Power Rating: 60 mW at +25°C

Reliability Test:
  1. Pull Test: Lead wires subjected to a 5N force for 10 ± 1 sec; no visible damage.
  2. Soldering Heat Resistance: Dipped into solder at 350 ± 10°C for 3.5 ± 0.5 sec; AR25/R25 < ±2%.
  3. High Temperature Storage: 100 ± 3°C for 1000 hours; AR25/R25 < ±2%.
  4. Low Temperature Storage: -40 ± 3°C for 1000 hours; AR25/R25 +2%.

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
