The 74HC161D,653 is a Presettable Synchronous 4-bit Binary Counter from Nexperia, designed to provide high-speed counting functionality for digital applications. It features a synchronous operation where all flip-flops are clocked simultaneously on the positive edge of the clock signal (CP). The device allows presetting of the counter's outputs (Q0 to Q3) to a specific value using the data inputs (D0 to D3) when the parallel enable (PE) input is LOW. The counter also includes a terminal count output (TC) for easy cascading with other counters .4-bit counter is ideal for use in timing and sequencing applications where synchronized, presettable counting is required.
