They excel in break-beam setups where modulated IR light is used, mitigating interference from other IR signals or ambient light changes. This breakout board facilitates various IR detecting projects, featuring mounting holes and a cable for easy enclosure and device integration. Utilizing a 2mm pitch STEMMA JST PH cable with headers or alligator clips, wiring the board requires no soldering. Please note that while this board can receive 38KHz IR remote control signals, it lacks a filtering system, potentially resulting in spurious signals. Each STEMMA board is fully assembled and tested PCB, excluding the cable. No soldering is necessary for usage; however, a 2mm pitch, 3-pin STEMMA JST PH cable is required. Alternatively, for those preferring soldering, a 0.1" spaced header for power/ground/signal is available.

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
