1. Rated Voltage: 60 V
This is the battery voltage the controller is designed to work with.- Your e-bike should use a 60-volt battery pack (often 16S lithium-ion: 16 × 3.7 V ≈ 59.2 V).
- Using a voltage much higher or lower can damage the controller or make it not work properly.
2. Rated Current: 50 A
This is the maximum continuous current the controller can send to the motor.- 50 A is the limit it can handle safely without overheating.
- Higher current = more torque (acceleration and hill-climbing).
3. Rated Power: 1500 W
This is the motor/controller’s intended continuous power output.- 1500 W = 1.5 kW, which is fairly powerful for an e-bike.
- Enough for 40–60 km/h depending on wheel size and gearing.

🔌 How these numbers relate
Electrical power is: Power (W) = Voltage (V) × Current (A) If you plug in the numbers: 60 V × 50 A = 3000 W So why is it rated only 1500 W? Because 50 A is the peak current, while 1500 W is the continuous safe output. The controller will:- Run at 1500 W continuously (to avoid overheating)
- Allow up to 3000 W for short bursts (acceleration, hills)
- This is normal for BLDC motor controllers.
- Strong acceleration (because 50 A = high torque)
- Good top speed (60 V helps reach high RPM)
- Suitable for heavy riders, hills, or cargo bikes
- Needs a 60 V battery capable of 50 A discharge (that means at least 50 A continuous BMS rating)
- The controller can output 50 A, but battery limits it.
- Your peak power becomes: 60 V × 40 A = 2400 W
- If your battery is weak (say 20 A), performance will be much lower.
