The Crowtail- Analog Gyro is based on an angular velocity sensor(Murata-ENC-03R) that uses the phenomenon of Coriolis force, which is generated when a rotational angular velocity is applied to. It provides 1-axis velocity with analog output. with precision and quick-response measurements, the modules suitable for applications with position& posture controlling.

Features:

  1. Analog Output: Provides angular velocity data via an analog signal.
  2. Coriolis Force Based: Measures angular velocity using the Coriolis effect.
  3. Murata ENC-03R Sensor: Employs the Murata ENC-03R angular velocity sensor.
  4. 1-Axis Measurement: Detects rotation along a single axis.
  5. High Precision: Offers accurate angular velocity measurements.
  6. Quick Response: Provides fast and responsive data.
  7. Position/Posture Control: Suitable for applications requiring precise position and posture control.
  8. Connection Mode: A(Analog)
  9. Light Weight
  10. Quick response
  11. Low driving voltage, low current consumption
  12. Standard Crowtail Interface
  13. Measure X-axis Angular Velocity

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
