The flight controller sends this desired speed to the Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC’s), which translates this desired speed into a signal that the motors can understand. The MPU6500 is the most widely used IMU sensor, and it’s used in nearly all of the greatest flight controllers. The reason for this is that it has a high vibration tolerance and can sample the gyro at 8kHz over an SPI interface.

Setup Guide

Charge the vehicle battery
Connect the vehicle battery to the included charger. Charge fully (typically 1–2 hours) before first run. Never leave charging unattended.

Install batteries in the transmitter
Open the transmitter battery compartment and insert AA batteries as indicated by the polarity markings.

Power on in the correct order
Turn ON the transmitter FIRST, then the vehicle. This prevents unexpected runaway movement.

Trim and calibrate
If the vehicle pulls left or right at rest, use the steering trim knob on the transmitter to centre it.

Start slowly
Begin with half-throttle to get a feel for the controls. Gradually increase speed as you become familiar with the handling.
