The Official Raspberry Pi PoE+ Injector is a single‑port Power over Ethernet (PoE+) midspan injector designed to deliver both network data and power over a single Ethernet cable to PoE‑enabled devices such as Raspberry Pi boards equipped with a compatible PoE HAT.

It conforms to IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) and 802.3af (PoE) standards, providing up to 30 W of output power at a nominal 55 V DC for robust operation under load. The injector supports Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) passthrough, ensuring high‑speed network performance while supplying power.

Input is via 100–240 V AC mains (IEC C13 socket), and output is delivered on the RJ‑45 interface, combining data and power. Designed for reliability, it offers automatic device detection and protection against non‑standard Ethernet terminals. Compact dimensions (159 × 51.8 × 33.5 mm) and broad environmental tolerances make it suitable for embedded, industrial, and remote deployments. IEC power cable is not included.

Features:

  1. 30W PoE+ Injector for Raspberry Pi boards
  2. Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps) support
  3. 55V, 550mA power output for PoE devices
  4. RJ45 input (Data) & RJ45 output (Data + Power)
  5. 100-240V AC input for worldwide use
  6. Requires a separate IEC mains lead (not included)

Package Includes:

1 x Raspberry Pi PoE+ Injector 30W Gigabit Power Over Ethernet Adapter (IEEE 802.3af/at) for Raspberry Pi Boards

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
