It uses the thermoelectric principle and can measure solar radiation with a spectral range of 0.3~3μm. A desiccant-filled drying cartridge prevents dew from forming on the inner sides of the domes. A bubble level and adjusting leveling screws enable the sensor to be leveled without using a leveling base. High accuracy and can be sent for inspection. The solar pyranometer price is affordable. Note: The actual product may vary slightly variation with the image shown. Refer to the datasheet in the ATTACHMENTS section for more info. regd. the product.

Features:

  1. High accuracy with ±3% error
  2. Thermoelectric measurement principle
  3. Desiccant-filled drying cartridge to prevent dew formation
  4. Bubble level and adjustable leveling screws for precise setup
  5. Supports various output modes (RS485, 0-5V, 0-10V, 4-20ma)
  6. Wide application in meteorology, agriculture, and solar energy studies

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
