The SmartElex Tracker Sensor is a 5-channel analog IR sensor designed for accurate line detection in robotic applications. Each of its five outputs provides analog data, offering finer precision than typical digital (HIGH/LOW) sensors. It works by detecting differences in infrared reflectance—white surfaces give high output, while black lines give low output. With a sensing range of 1cm to 5cm and a 16mm spacing between detectors, this sensor is perfect for line-following robots, maze solvers, and path tracking systems. Tracker Sensor operates between 3.3V to 5V and is easily compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other development boards.

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
