The B-L462E-CELL1 Discovery kit is a turnkey development platform for cellular IoT devices. The Discovery kit contains a low-power Discovery main board powered by an LBAD0ZZ1SE module, a global coverage antenna, and a fan-out board. The LBAD0ZZ1SE module includes an STM32L462REY6TR microcontroller, an LBAD0XX1SC-DM ultra-small LTE Cat M/NB modem, and an ST4SIM GSMA-certified embedded SIM.
STMod+ and extended pins connectivity provide unlimited expansion capabilities with a large choice of specialized add-on boards. Moreover, the fan-out board supports add-on boards using mikroBUS, ESP01, Grove I2C, Grove UART, and breadboard. The B-L462E-CELL1 Discovery kit includes an ST-LINK debugger/ programmer and comes with the comprehensive STM32Cube software libraries together with packaged software

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.

Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.

Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
