This is DFRobot Bluno - An Arduino-compatible Board - Bluetooth 4.0. It's time to get Bluetooth 4.0 into your arduino project and sync it up with your phone! For aficionados of smart devices and wearables with this new tech (Bluetooth 4.0 low energy, BLE), now you can go further than hacking things apart to start prototyping with your board.

You may also check Bluetooth microcontrollor selection guide to get more information. As a member of the Bluno Family, DFRobot Bluno is the first of its kind in integrating Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) module into "Arduino Uno", making it an ideal prototyping platform for both software and hardware developers to go BLE. You will be able to develop your own smart bracelet, smart pedometer, and more. Through the low-power Bluetooth 4.0 technology, real-time low energy communication can be made really easy.

DFRobot Bluno integrates a TI CC2540 BT 4.0 chip with the "Arduino UNO" development board. It allows wireless programming via BLE, supports Bluetooth HID, AT command to config BLE and you can upgrade BLE firmware easily. Bluno is also compatible with all "Arduino Uno" pins which means any project made with Uno can directly go wireless! Note:
  1. Bluno Family does not support other brand BLE devices since the difference of Bluetooth profile.
  2. If you want to use a computer to communicate with Bluno, a BLE link or USB BLE link is needed, the BLE on your computer is not compatible!

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
