GP39-1513 features high sensitivity, low power and ultra small form factor. The module is powered by MediaTek. It can provide you with superior sensitivity and performance even in urban canyon and dense foliage environment. The miniature size makes the module easy to integrate into portable device like mobile phone, PDAs, camera and vehicle locators. This module supports hybrid ephemeris prediction to achieve faster cold start. One is self-generated ephemeris prediction that is no need of both network assistance and host CPU’s intervention. This is valid for up to 3 days and updates automatically from time to time when GPS module is powered on and satellites are available. The other is server-generated ephemeris prediction that gets from an internet server. This is valid for up to 14 days. Both ephemeris redictions are stored in the on-board flash memory and perform a cold start time less than 15 seconds.
Features:
  1. MediaTek high sensitivity solution
  2. Support 66-channel GPS
  3. Ultra low power consumption
  4. Fast TTFF at low signal level
  5. Free hybrid ephemeris prediction to achieve faster cold start
  6. Built-in data logger
  7. Built-in DC/DC converter to save power
  8. Up to 10 Hz update rate ±11ns high accuracy time pulse (1PPS)
  9. Capable of SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS, GAGAN)
  10. Support Japan QZSS
  11. Indoor and outdoor multi-path detection and compensation
  12. Small form factor 15.0 * 13.0 * 2.2 mm
  13. SMD type with stamp holes
  14. RoHS compliant
  15. Built-in 12 multi-tone active interference canceller

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
