The MM232R is a mini-development module for the FT232RQ IC unit. It is a little bigger than a USB connector and provides a USB – Serial UART interface in a extremely small form factor. It is ideal for new development purposes, and also for adding a USB interface to existing product designs. Based on the FT232RQ unit, the MM232R supports RTS/CTS hardware handshaking and is powered from the USB port. Serial data communication is possible at up to 3MBaud at the TTL level. In addition, some of the EEPROM configurable CBUS pins of the FT232R are brought out allowing the MM232R to be used to provide clock signals to external logic. Two 1×4, and one 2×4 board headers are supplied with the MM232R to allow for rapid prototyping and development. Note: For more technical details go through Datasheet in the attachment section

Setup Guide

Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.

Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.

Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.

Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
